My HiFi amp is so old that it doesn't have a line-out, so I'm expecting audio line-in to Connect to work if I use tape-out from my amp. I feel there may be a generation thing here. I was totally under-whelmed by the European help-desk: next to useless for outcome, but tried hard and was polite! I'm a very new user with just one Play1 and a boost with which I'm trying to tackle drop-outs. It's a pity that Sonos seems so aloof, somewhat snobby and silently disrespectful of its customers. It certainly shows that different people have different expectations of this pretty good system. The system will detect when a cable is connected to the subwoofer output and adjust the crossover frequency automatically.
You may connect a powered subwoofer to this output using a standard RCA cable. Note: If you disconnect your subwoofer, make sure to also disconnect the subwoofer’s cable from the Connect:Amp output. You may use a standard RCA audio cable to connect the Connect:Amp’s analog audio inputs to the audio outputs from a separate audio component, like a turntable. Use only the supplied power cord to connect to a power outlet (using a third party power cord will void your warranty). Select the appropriate voltage setting for your country. Use high-quality speaker wire to connect the left speaker to Connect:Amp. Use high-quality speaker wire to connect the right speaker to Connect:Amp.
You can use an Ethernet cable (supplied) to connect to a router, computer, or additional network device like a network-attached storage (NAS) device.
